Doida Disciplina [Crazy Discipline] is the title of the exhibtion by the carioca painter Gabriela Machado, which was held in Centro Cultural da Caixa Econômica Federal, in Rio de Janeiro, between May and June 2009 and in Caixa Cultural São Paulo, between December 2009 and January 2010.
Curated by Ronaldo Brito, the large paintings of Gabriela were displayed directly in a space where the cleanliness of elements enhanced the contrast between the large color areas and the severity of the white background. This was an exhibion whose title sums up the artist’s work in an exemplary manner.
