11/01/2009 — 01/30/2010

Jardim Botânico do Rio de Janeiro, RJ

With the intention of introducing the Brazilian public to the work of French landscape artist Auguste François Marie Glaziou (1833-1906), the exhibition Glaziou e os jardins sinuosos [Glaziou and the Winding Gardens], curated by Anna Paula Martins, took place at the Botanical Gardens, from November 2009 to January 2010. The exhibition was produced by Automatica, using a series of stands along with graphic displays in the area. A a wide range of original documentation of Glaziou work was shown. This exhibition presented images and projects rearding the decisive role this landscape artist had on the urban development of Rio de Janeiro in the nineteenth century, for the first time ever. This exhibition relied on a large professional staff, and included projections and an original sound track.
