Heteronímia Brasil
05/2008 — 09/2008

Museo de América, Madri, Espanha

Group show of Brazilian artists held in the Museo de América, in Madrid, Spain, curated by Adolfo Montejo Navas. With work by Ana Maria Tavares, Lula Wanderley, Elida Tessler, Efrain Almeida, Lenora de Barros, José Rufino, Marcelo Solá, Rosângela Rennó, Sandra Cinto e Vicente de Mello, this exhibition was an extension of the Brazilian participation in Arco 08. The curator’s intention was to bring together several works investigating subjectivity, the relationship with the other, language appropriation and simultaneity, negotiations between fiction and reality, and the relationship between writing and text. Besides that, the exhibition increased ties between Brazilian and Spanish institutions in the field of Visual Arts.
