Rima Colada [Stuck Rhyme], a book celebrating four decades of artist Barrão's career, showcases an artistic practice marked by intuition and the interplay between languages such as sculpture, drawing, watercolor, installation, sound, and performance. Guided by procedures akin to bricolage, his work is constructed through the transformation of everyday elements, grouping and recombining recognizable objects extracted from our domestic and urban universe. The book's title, a recurring expression in his work, summarizes this logic: rhyme as approximation, the encounter of things that, when glued together, begin to coexist.
