Production,  2018 The exhibition Cuttings from Contemporary Brazilian Art brings together visual artists from different generations, grouped around the themes of Afro-Rio, Colour and History/Knowledge. Afro-Rio is characterized by works that address aspects of European colonization and African inheritance in Carioca culture, produced by the artists Arjan Martins, Maxwell Alexandre and Adriana Varejão. Historically, in Brazil, it has always been possible to observe a vast diversity of chromatic projects which operate in the political and sensitive fields.
