Lucia Koch - House of Mirrors
07/15/2009 — 08/09/2009

Caixa Cultural, Galeria Vitrine da Paulista, São Paulo, SP

Lucia Koch’s installation at CAIXA Cultural’s Vitrine da Paulista Gallery transformed the space into a House of Mirrors, reshaping its surroundings through fragmented reflections that continuously altered the experience of passersby. The gallery’s glass walls were covered with pieces of broken mirror, introducing new visual layers—at once semitransparent and reflective—that multiplied and distorted the images appearing on its surface, creating a certain optical confusion that is heightened by the people moving by.
