Caixa Cultural Rio de Janeiro, Rio de Janeiro, RJ
Between January and March 2008, Automatica rejoined Chelpa Ferro for the second installation of Jungle Jam, title of both the work and the exhibition. The piece, held this time at Caixa Cultural, Rio de Janeiro, is a sound piece consisting of a variety of different sized plastic bags, attached to the walls of the gallery by spinning electric motors. The motors are connected to a computer terminal (baptized ”big head”) programmed by the group which makes the bags spin in many different sequences and directions.
